And They Were to Engulf the World

The Gods, believing that the world has become corrupted, see fit to erase everything and everyone, and start over; theyve already burned the word-weavers, the Lusuutii (who discovered this plan), from the skies. Now the wait is to gather together their powers to finish it all. But it isn’t the people who’ve become corrupted… it’s the Gods themselves.

Torian Fey, the last of her people the Lusuutii, races against the Gods, gathering together the world’s last chances, gathering together the Legends (children of the stars), with hopes that they can put a stop to the current fate of the world. She can only hope that they haven’t sided with the Gods…

Main Protagonists:

Torian Fey, daughter of Everett and Morganna. Word-weaver. When she was young she left the sky islands to explore the lowlands, and was told by her father to take her time. A week or so later, she watched fires engulf her home and its ashes spread across the sky.

Jemma, traveling apothecary. A friend to Torian.

Syrdta, a chimera that knew Torian’s father. He joins Torian after recognizing a tattoo on her right arm; the same one that Everett had, then he knows that she’s a Lusuutii.

Onatio, a Legend with an earth affinity.

Camille, a very serious Legend, although she’s mellowed over time. Affinity: Wind.

Bastos, a Legend alligned with the Moon. Married to Rosana; at half power without her, extremely vulnerable during the day if she is not present. Controls: air, water, darkness, and lightning. Possibly wood, too. One of the strongest Legends.

Rosana, a Legend alligned with the Sun. Married to Bastos; at half power without him, extremely vulnerable at night if he is not present. Controls: fire, earth, light, and lightning. One of the strongest Legends.

Main Antagonists:

Phoenix, the strongest of the Gods. Rankings follows as: Leviathan, Dragon, Salamander, Gryphon, and Hippogryph. Assisted by harpies.

Suuta, a Legend that mysteriously fell from the sky before the right time. Became Phoenix’s messenger. Creates “whirlpools” out of her surroundings, including nearly any attack sent her way. She’s deadly, and she has a certain hatred forTorian.

Alleris, a Legend who became Dragon’s messenger. She uses illusions to manipulate people. Although uses lightning magic.

Fra Etno, a Legend who has gone insane for unknown reasons. Gryphon’s messenger. He fights by heating metal and forming it into controllable spheres.

He believes that he has no choice but to be a messenger, and if he tries to escape, Leviathan will kill him, and thatTorian cannot save him. He fights by using water and ice interchangeably, as well as his speed and manuverability. He can walk on water, and breathe when under it. Still, he’s one of the weaker ones.

Crystalline

The towers of power, spread across the lands in an attempt to control the people. One is never the same. All are just attempts to duplicate the single, sky-stretching tower ofKohata Korkealle. All are flawed. Rollin flees madly from his home, in attempt to find something saner. He keeps stumbling across other towers. He grows up.

Main Protagonists:

Rollin, a boy who lived at the archipelago known as Kohata Korkealle, where the land is controlled by who the natives have dubbed the “Unending.” A thin, black tower looms from the ocean and stretching high into the sky, which unleashes a terrible storm thatreguarly takes one or more lives when the Unending are displeased. He manages to escape the islands, barely with his life intact, with hopes of finding something better outside of his home…

Angela, a girl Rollin meets in the city of Memoria, named the same as the city’s central skyscraper. The city uses its lights to ‘drug’ the citizens. Most enter and find themselves trapped, and slowly forget the outside world until they no longer care. Rollin (a bit on accident, really) frees Angela from the drug. But she has to remember some of her old life in order to get back out…

Selina, an ally in the city of Memoria. She was originally of the Overseers working within the tower, but was demoted after she became more curious with observing Angela and Rollin, instead of fixing the problem and forcing them to rejoin the unit. Her curiosity continues, enough that she decides to help the pair get out of the city. Afterwards, she, too, wanders.

The Nightingale

“I am a candle. At wick’s end, the fireflies will melt up from melted wax, and guide the path between their distance, and that person. The space between dream and reality. The Trial by Night.” A maze with many entrances, but just one way out – the end. The prize? Immortality. But only those chosen by the nightingale truly have a chance to succeed. The question was… could he survive it, and who else would be wandering theinstrinsic maze?

Main Protagonists:

Ridge, a boy who finds himself stumbling into one of the maze’s many entrances after following a nightingale of all things – which he doesn’t even remember why he was doing something so dumb – and then realizes that the entrance is gone.

The Nightingale, a mysterious nightingale that looks over Ridge until he starts the Trial by Night. She warns him of Owl, and explains that he is a survivor, and one of her chosen ones.

Main Antagonists:

Owl, named by the Nightingale. A particular persistant man that had been trying for centuries to encounter the Trial by Night. He finally found a way; by finding one of the Nightingale’s chosen ones, not a particular strong one, who would need help with surviving. And in return, when the trial starts, Owl will be there as well. He is a remnant of the past, coming from grounds of darkness, forests that have long since been extinct. He strives for the prize of immortality, as his time is growing shorter, but the Nightingale believes that one such as he is not meant to be one of the Immortals.
