Battle of the Powers

Final Fantasy XI.

Forbidden, ancient magic is flooding the world like a new trend. The sibyl has much more than Summoning to complain about now… But thankfully, Windurst isn’t in the heart of the battle for once. Only, her two favorite mithra are.

Involves a group of sky pirates called Wayward – with a “Time Mages” and “Wyrm Knights”, a city of dead, a group calling themselves Misfits Manor that dabble into ancient magic that rival Wayward’s destruction; and another group that’s worshipping the great wyrms, going so far as to name themselves after them and managing to develop abilities like them!

Status: Not much actually written XD; It’s mostly a bunch of short drabbles. And drabbles it’ll continue as. At some point.

Notes: Basically? I’m on crack :D The sibyl’s “two favorite mithra” being Semih and Nanaa :D; They’re uh, Serpent Generals in Al Zabhi which came from… another short piece I wrote, heh.

Black Suits

Men in Black/Doctor Who.

Set a few years after the second movie, and a few months after DW season 3. …not much is actually plotted yet. Via his ring, which gets shipped over to MIB headquarters after some “complications,” the Master makes his appearance to the agents. After gleaning just what he has to work with (which is plenty), he gleefully goes to work again, while managing to keep his presence masked from the Doctor…

Status: Lol. Like. Six pages written. Stopped by not fully knowing where I want to go with it yet.

Notes: See, this is the fun bit! The problem with crossing two fandoms that weren’t exactly meant to be crossed… Figured out the president’s assassination bit enough. Dealing with all the alien invasion crap on Great Britain is… okay enough. Dealing with the end of season two with the mass of Cybermen and Daleks? Nooot so easy. And figuring out to do with the lovely fifteen Archangel satelites. Yar.

Destiny Contorted

Final Fantasy IX.

Based on a “What if?” What if Kuja hadn’t succeeded in dumping Zidane off onto Gaia? What if Zidane moved on to fulfill his role as Angel of Death? Kuja goes to Gaia, wanting him dead; Mikoto goes, believing that Zidane’s biology is failing, and that he will only cause Terra’s downfall. The black mages are created, with Vivi (as named by a handful of moogles) the defect prototype. Zorn and Thorn to watch over the curious Princess Garnet. Eiko to unlock the eidolons, later to gain a friend in Garnet. And everyone else falls into their roles, waiting to unfold…

Status: An extremely slow work in progress. Moooost of the plot and characters are hammered down at the very least.

Notes: I really do want to finish this one day :|

Mezmerized (title in works)

Men in Black.

Edgar’s widowed wife becomes the key factor in an invasion against Earth.

Status: Not much written to this one yet. More plotting done though then to the piece way at the top though, haha.

Notes: This was one of those “came to me in a dream” pieces. Meaning it was pretty WTF and upon waking I filled in the cracks. I quite like Beatrice in this. She’s… incredibly fun when there’s aliens involved. Overall though? Pretty WTF story. :D;

Of Black Holes and Sundials

Doctor Who.

Post Voyage of the Damned. It’s of legend, that place. Nearly as much of one as Gallifrey, only this one hasn’t burnt. These sun-people ran farther from the Time War than the Doctor ever could; they sealed themselves in a pocket of space, a small niche between all universes. The Doctor doesn’t want to be alone anymore… and it’s about time he finds someone as old as he is. Only, just because they are, doesn’t mean that they’re understanding, and it’s not as if the Doctor ever got along with his own people. The Doctor always said that black holes just eat; that only movies made it up that they could lead to other universes, but the sun-people are harvesting them. They create the gateways, in hopes of their survival, and in hopes that the gods of the Sun will one day bless them. They believe, at long last, their blessing has come, and she burns like the sun.

Status: Written 25 pages, five chapters. In a bit of a lull right now.

Notes: Summary is a bit jarring right now. I haven’t really hammered it out yet lol.

Past Endeavors

Final Fantasy XI.

Upon finding out that the mysterious Cavernous Maws lead to the ‘past’ and that her mother, Romaa Mihgo, is playing a key part, Nanaa Mihgo swipes a feather from one of her thieves and goes to investigate, and possibly dig up some blackmail. Worried that she’s going to do something stupid, Hiru’s trio (PCs), Bopa and Cha, and Semih Lafihna chase after her. Small problem: The maw won’t let them back out. Begrudingly, the group takes on the guise of Mithra Mercenaries, under Nanaa as their captain, until they find out why they can’t return to present-Vana’diel. Maybe this had been a bad idea.

Status: 8 pages written! :D It’s been sitting for a bit though ’cause I haven’t been playing the game.

Notes: Welcome to the world of fanfiction! Wherein teleporting into Sarutabaruta is possible right off the bat (although it is Hiru’s feather, who’s unlocked the maw before), multiple people can use a single feather to transport (although their is that CS where you and your fellow transport), and in all reality, Nanaa probably knows her mother fought in the war and just doesn’t care. But this is fanfiction. So like hell I care. … I really need to change from Bastok to Windurst and play through the missions (though doubtful I can solo them… .___.). There’s something I need to see, because there’s something I want to do with this, but I need to know the canon. Dammit D:

Searching for a Heart

Kingdom Hearts.

Post-KH2. Kairi, despite proving to her friends that she can help fight, is left alone again on the islands while Sora and Riku go to check up on a message they received from the Disney Castle. Annoyed, she decides to leave Destiny Islands to discover the worlds for herself, and with Naminè’s help, they depart. She trains some with Yuffie at Radiant Garden, and then curiosity (although it makes Naminè uncomfortable) brings her to The World That Never Was to see what became of it. To her surprise though, she comes across Demyx, who had been weakly trying to pull together his body and keep it in one stable form. With some sort of act of kindness and determination that could probably only be reserved for a Princess of Heart, Kairi offers to let him travel with her, while she explores the worlds, and help him find his heart…

Status: See note.

Notes: This… originally started a an RP with myself, where I was testing Demyx’s voice while bouncing him off a Kairi, and it started to unwind into this long, intrinsic verse. I’ve been toying with the idea to actually write it out as a fanfiction (and then I’d be able to have Sora and Riku easier). So that idea is winning. I might still continue their RP for awhile though. I’m not horribly far in it. It has her and Demyx’s meeting, and then later starts at Traverse Town. That’s found here.

Shades of Three

Doctor Who.

Time is wrong. He should not exist. The time-lock is broken, the stars are going out, everything turn to darkness… Doctor, do you know where Donna Noble is?

Status: 64 pages written :D And still going strong! Like… holy crap. I can’t believe it :O Truly crazy.

Notes: I think this started as a dream. I don’t remember, since I had no notes on it when I randomly noticed it upon glancing at my fanfiction for the fandom. It’s fun playing with how things would be if the Master didn’t die. In this, Martha saved his life. But I don’t really go into it much; the story starts several months afterwards, with the pair making an escape back to the TARDIS. Loosely they’re somewhere in “season four.” It’s also fun playing with Donna not-being-there and ends up sort of “taunting” the Doctor’s mind. Rose shows up, they later pick up Donna, and, well… a future run-in with someone… else :D

Stargazing

Men in Black.

Tonight he can’t  see the stars; they’re hidden behind the cloud cover, but he knows them well enough in his mind that he can map them out. It’s the only bit of peace that he feels with all… this. Otherwise he’s edgy and he’s clawing through his mind to remember. Something important.

Status: Decently moving somewhere.

Notes: I like how I’ve been writing this. It doesn’t have much of a summary, I just nabbed one of the opening paragraphs and used that. The title will probably end up changing. It already has changed once, heh.

They’re Not Talking About This

Yu-Gi-Oh!

“Why on Earth would I ever willingly talk to you, Pharaoh?”

“Because there’s no one else.”

Yami no Bakura tries to go home, fails, leaving him and Ryou nearly dead; saved my Yami no Yuugi, although to Yuugi’s displeasure nearly leaves them in the same state. They’re not talking about what happened; that’s the plan. Yami no Yuugi doesn’t wish to help him leave, because that would mean he’d be the only one left (and he gave up Egypt; he came back), yet if it would make the other pleased… he would try to find a way to open the hole back up, after all, he is the Pharaoh. Only… it results in a slight, unexpected problem. Egypt “takes” Yuugi.

Status: Like… 8 pages written. Heh. Slowly working on it :O Whenever I feel like writing the fandom.

Notes: This is kind of a fun piece. I like the interactions of the two. It started out as a random piece… with them both sitting on a park bench, beaten and bandaged up, and refusing to talk to one another. It developed quite a bit from there. *shrug*
